Lady Butcher serves up International Women’s Day feast

To celebrate International Women’s Day, Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit’s The District Grill Room & Bar is hosting an exclusive five-course dinner with Thailand’s Lady Butcher, an acclaimed beef specialist, on March 21 at 6.30pm.

Known as Lady Butcher, or chef Nattida Noo-In, she has made a name for herself for dry-ageing beef and giving the Thai steakhouse scene a new lease of life with her mixture of classic butchery and powerful, regional flavours.

And she’s based in Nonthaburi, where she painstakingly sources, ages and curates high-end cuts, coaxing out the flavor depth in each mouthful. Her deep love of Thai culinary history and meticulousness in dealing with proteins have helped make her one of the most significant figures in the country’s culinary scene.

This culinary collaboration will meld her one-of-a-kind expertise with The District’s hallmark of fire-grilling techniques for a carefully curated menu, honoring the rich culinary traditions of Thailand with global influences.

Those will take guests on a culinary journey of a smoked river prawn amuse-bouche, cured Isan-style beef carpaccio, grilled wild-caught sea bass with banana leaves and black sticky rice risotto, dry-aged Wagyu sirloin from Australia with strawberry yoghurt gelato.

Each course is served to be savoured solo — or can be accompanied by expertly selected wine pairings, available as part of the dining package.

It costs 2,900 baht per person for the food-only menu, and 3,900 baht with wine pairing. Seats are limited.
