Thai Tour set to launch in Sa Kaeo
The Tour of Thailand 2025 runs in Sa Kaeo next week.
This will be taking place between March 24 and April 2, covering a distance of 1,071.21km across 9 districts of Sa Kaeo.
The men’s race consists of six stages from March 24-29, with the three-stage women’s event taking place March 31-April 2. This is because many international cyclists will join the Tour of Thailand 2025. We’ll have a lot of visitors during the tournament, and that will drive both tourism and the economy,” Kritsada Tanterdtid, the secretary to Sorawong Thienthong, the minister of tourism and sports, said while presiding over a press conference yesterday.
“There were 37 million visitors to Thailand last year, and we expect the number of transactions this year to be around 39-40 million people. One of the driving forces that will attract tourists, especially high-purchasing-power tourists, is the Tour of Thailand 2025 cycling tournament,” he concluded.
“It will also be a good opportunity for the Thai cyclists to compete and gain experience for the future international tournaments as well.
Gen Decha Hemkrasi, president of the Thai Cycling Association, said: “The race route will go through many important tourist attractions in Sa Kaeo, which will help promote tourism in the province.
The governor of adjacent Sa Kaeo, Parinya Photisat, said this would “ensure maximum safety for cyclists joining the Tour of Thailand” and said organizers had prepared everything. The athletes, officials and tourists who will be visiting the province during the tournament will be well-provided for with accommodation and food.”
