Thai hopes in women’s tour rests on Jutatip and Petchdarin
As the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Women’s Tour of Thailand 2025 starts on Monday, Jutatip Maneephan and Petchdarin Somrat expressed their resolve to do their best for Thai fans.
The three-stage race covers 263.70km in Sa Kaeo. The 87.90km first stage on Monday from 9am starts from Aranyaprathet and ends at Sa Kaeo’s provincial administrative organisation building.
Last year’s champion Jutatip will lead the local charge. Her teammates on the Thailand Women’s Cycling team are Petchdarin Somrat, Chanpeng Nontasin, Supaksorn Nantana and Chaniporn Battriya.
The other three are Thailand national team, Fisherman’s Friend and Prime 19.
“We have already done a recce the route and we have been preparing really hard since the Asian Road Race in February. We also raced in Vietnam. I am still a little bit injured and not fully fit. But I will do my best to fight for the Thai people,” Jutatip said.
“I also went to Vietnam after the Asian Championships,” Petchdarin added. I was very tired after the race but had a week to get ready for this tournament and feel in good shape now.
“We have plans for the race. “But it is day to day and we have to see what plan to have until the end of the competition.”
19 teams are already confirmed to participate in the tournament, including the biggest names in the esports world like Standard Insurance (Philippines) and more.
