Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is promoting the friendship and cooperation between the nation and the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus in the interests of the nation, was welcomed rousingly by the people.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who conducted State Visits to Russian Federation at the invitation of President of Russian Federation H.E. Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and to the Republic of Belarus at the invitation of President of Belarus H.E. Mr. Alexander Gregoryevich Lukashenko, took off from Tolmachevo Airport in Novosibirsk, Russian Federation where he was seen off by Governor of Novosibirsk Mr. Travnikov Andrey Aleksandrovich, Myanmar Ambassador to Russian Federation U Thit Lin Ohn, the Myanmar consul general and officials.

The members of the goodwill delegation, namely SAC Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, SAC member General Nyo Saw, union ministers U Than Swe, Admiral Moe Aung, Dr Kan Zaw, U Ko Ko Lwin, Dr Myo Thein Kyaw, Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, senior officers of the Commander-in-Chief-Office, deputy ministers and military and civilian officials who were in company with the Senior General during the visits, return on the same flight.

The Senior General met with President of Russian Federation H.E. Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, the speakers of parliaments, and officials of Russian government on sector-wise affairs on the 4 March during the tours to Russia and Belarus and attended Myanmar-Russia Business Forums.

He also inaugurated Myanmar Consulate Generals in Saint Petersburg and Novosibirsk.

As part of the visit to Russia, the high-level Myanmar delegation signed agreements and MoUs on economic cooperation between the governments of Myanmar and Russia, and effectively carried out the task of cementing friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

On 7 March, during visit to Belarus, Senior General met with President of Belarus H.E. Mr. Alexander Gregoryevich Lukashenko, Meeting with Speaker of National Assembly as well as Minister of Belarus and discussed sector-wise and gave the Speech at the Myanmar-Belarus Business Forum. In addition, the two sides signed MoUs and agreements on economic cooperation.

The Senior General responded to the questions raised by the media persons on special flight during the return trip.

The Senior General and the goodwill delegation of Myanmar departed Nay Pyi Taw and visited the Republic of Russia, Novosibirsk, Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Samara, and the Republic of Belarus, Minsk.

Over ten thousand miles covered their to-and-fro journey in Russia and Belarus in extreme weather conditions whose temperatures were controlled by minus 2 and minus 12 degrees centigrade while during the journey, they made efforts for agriculture, economy, trade between two countries, academic studies and creating an opportunities to people to people and en-trepreneur to en-trepreneur cooperation in promotion of tourism.

To honour the endeavours and experiences, offspring of nationalities, trumpet corps, pom pom dance corps, traditional dance corps, artists and local people presented the Senior General and delegation a red-carpet welcome by holding placards inscribed “Long-live Russia-Myanmar friendship, performance and cooperation of the various-sector strategic cooperation, warmly welcome Senior General Min Aung Hlaing who strives to promote Russia-Myanmar relations more effectively, may the near-hands join of Russia and Myanmar ever stronger, victory for Myanmar-Russia cooperation, long live Belarus-Myanmar friendship, we warmly welcome Senior General Min Aung Hlaing strive for universal development of Myanmar, we warmly welcome Sr. Gen and delegation to further promote the friendship of Russia and Myanmar” and waving miniature flags of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Russian Federation and Republic of Belarus as well as chanting slogans “We wish strong-health of Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing who strives for the benefit of race, language and religion, has been with Russia-Myanmar friendship and Belarus-Myanmar friendship.”

Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun, leader of Information Team of the State Administration Council and one of the delegation members, replied to the queries of the press at the airport.
